KUALA LUMPUR – Chemical Company of Malaysia Berhad (CCM) Group today launched its CCM Coffee Table Book: The Inside Story 1930 – 2007, to mark the historic milestones of the Company’s emergence as a leading participant in the thriving chemicals, pharmaceuticals and fertilizers industry in conjunction with its 45th anniversary.

“Documenting significant landmarks in a company’s history is becoming increasingly important,” said YABhg Tun Dato'' Seri Ahmad Sarji bin Abdul Hamid, Chairman of Permodalan Nasional Berhad who launched the book here at the Sime Darby Convention Centre.

“This book doesn’t just signify the success of the key strategic and operational decisions made by the company but also landmarks its growth, innovation and contributions to the various sectors of the economy.”

Tun Dato’ Seri Ahmad Sarji emphasized the importance of highlighting past events and achievements to improve future endeavors. He spoke of inspiring personalities and company role models who will be inscribed in history.

“This book celebrates and recognizes the individuals who have made CCM what it is today, reinforces the company’s patriotism, cements its core values and provides an exemplar of CCM’s attention to detail and quality. But more importantly, it gives the employees a sense of belonging to something larger than themselves.”
The 133 page corporate coffee table book is the vision of CCM Berhad’s Group Managing Director, Dato’ Dr Mohd. Hashim Tajudin who believes that a company such as CCM Berhad, with its rich history and even richer culture, deserved to be immortalized.

The CCM Coffee Table Book: The Inside Story 1930 – 2007 chronicles CCM Berhad’s evolution; its rise as a powerhouse and its pivotal contributions towards elevating Malaysia’s economic status. More so, the book takes readers on a journey of guided introspection of a company which is very much imbued in implementing and practising a strategic significance of corporate social responsibility, and how community needs are actually opportunities to develop ideas and demonstrate business technologies.

Today, CCM Group is one of the nation''s largest chemicals, fertilizers and healthcare companies, manufacturing a wide range of products to meet the growing needs of the domestic and overseas markets.
